Get use to rejection
As the popular saying goes, “What doesn’t kill you make you stronger”. You have to know that not everyone will accept you. In fact more people will reject you more than those who will accept you. But what you need to do is to get use to rejection and turn them into strengths. You do not need to apologize for who you are or question why you do what you do because people don’t seem to like you.
Henry Rollins ones said: “We all learn lessons in life. Some stick, some don’t. I have always learned more from rejection and failure than from acceptance and success.”
Keep your dream alive
This is one of the secret code I think you need to always live by. Keep your dream alive because it might come true one day. You need to be ready when opportunity presents itself for your dream to be actualized. Opportunity is a traveler who stays in a place where it is welcomed.
Focus on culture
You shouldn’t just focus on making money. Successful entrepreneurs are more inclined to solving major issues and problem. That’s how success comes. Focusing strongly on the culture of your business, determines how successful the business is going to run.
Ignore the Littleman
One thing you have to be aware of in order to be able to guide against is that so many people are not going to support your dream from start. They just won’t! They will chastise you and call your idea “Stupid”. But who cares. You are the owner of the idea. You are the one who knows the potentials you carry inside to make the it fruitful. All you have to do is to never listen to them. Believe in yourself, make the idea happen and they will be proven wrong.
I get inspirations from reading books and whenever I take a walk. These two activities open me up to great new ideas and thoughts. You have to look deep inside you and know what gets you inspired. Could be books, movies, audio tapes, hanging outs, etc. The motive at the end is to be aware of the activities that sends ideas into your mind and then keep doing them.
You do not have to be an “opportunity prostitute”. That is, diving into every idea and opportunity that presents it self to you. Be focused and get that one big idea you are passionate about off the ground and keep going. Many entrepreneurs think they can be jack of all trade. While this might work for you, it can also make you to be less successful.
Have a good name for your business
Small business starters should have a global business name. It doesn’t matter where you are starting from or your the audience you are hoping to reach. This is the 21st century and businesses are going global. You should follow the line too.
Customers are #1
Customers are number one because, they make you rich. Your employees are number two because they drive the business. And your investors or shareholders are number three. Always have that at your finger tips.
Don’t complain, look for opportunities
Where the complains are lies the opportunity. Many start up entrepreneurs often complain a lot thereby confusing themselves. Nobody is going to come to your rescue when things are tough. So, you should get your head out on your ass and make sure to get the best from challenges.
The success of any business comes from the passion of the leader. If you aren’t passionate about what you do, you will soon close your business and pack home. Passion is all there is to a successful business growth.
